Welcome to KeesonGem. If you've found your way here, you probably already suspect what we believe: a fine colored gemstone doesn't need a loud storefront — it needs an honest pair of eyes and a steady hand.
KeesonGem is a small, independent studio in Shuibei, Shenzhen — the district where most of China's gem trade passes through. Our founder spent ten years as an accountant before a sapphire in Colombo changed her course; three buying trips to Sri Lanka later, she opened this studio with one rule: only sell stones we would keep ourselves.
Here's what you'll find on this site: a curated vault of loose stones, selected one by one; bespoke pieces brought to life in our family-run workshop, led by the founder's brother, right here in Shuibei; and this journal — where we'll share new arrivals, studio news, and plain-spoken guides to buying gemstones with confidence.
Every stone is checked under our own loupe, photographed in daylight-equivalent light, and described with its treatment and origin stated plainly. If you're ever in Shenzhen, the kettle is on — visits to the studio and the workshop are always welcome, by appointment.
